  1. A♦ lead is somewhat suspect, albeit South is relatively unlikely to have K♦. Possibly a spade lead is best? West should shift suits after the A♦given the K♦in dummy. East should use the opportunity to give a suit preference signal for clubs or spades. Which is best to signal is difficult in this case.
