This auction happened at three tables. Not trying for a spade fit with 4333 is Ok, especially when there are scattered values in the other suits. DDA can demonstrate this (or otherwise).
The lead however was different at each table, ST, H2, C3. Worthy of DDA.

  1. At DDA, the majors were similar, but a lot better (~0.2 av tricks) than either minor, and at IMPs 4-5% better at beating contract.

  2. Also DDA took a look at whether there should be a raise to 3NT or should check for the major fit. If pard has a 4 or 5 card spade suit, DDA favours 3NT but it is close 52% vs 48%. At IMPs it is ~0.8IMPS/bd which is significant.
If it is assumed that u can check for a 5 card major fit, but play in 3NT when opposite exactly 4 spades, 3NT is favoured at MPs slightly more by 54% to 46%, whereas at IMPS it is a 1IMP/bd favourite
