This auction happened at two tables. There appears little reason why North didn't check for a 4-4 fit in hearts.
D4 was led at both tables. DDA can establish whether it is better to lead from adjacent honours than from low. Here leading high costs a trick.
DDA shows the spade lead is best by ~0.15 av tricks, vs the next best, a low heart which is ~0.1 av tricks better than either diamond lead. The difference between the diamonds was small but favoured the low diamond.
