EW could do better in the bidding here. In east's position it is only wise to bid a 4 card major before a 5 or 6 minor if u are going to pass West's next bid of say 1NT or 2 level rebid of their suit. Here, natural is best. Just bid 2♣ and then 2♠ over their expected 2♦ response.
West bidding is also a little odd. If playing strong NT then they appear to have a 1NT rebid. If wanting to open, playing weak NT it is perhaps better to crib a point at NT (with a good 5 card suit as offset), but Vul pass has a lot to recommend it.
