  1. X doesn't describe the North hand very well. South probably makes a trap pass over 2S hoping pard will do a reopening X. East appears to have a good 2D available over the X. Possibly South who has passed thru out could get a little excited when pard bids 3H - perhaps a 3S cue

  2. I concur with all of those comments above.

    Double should be either support for all the suits (which you do have in a way but it doesn't show a seven card suit) or a hand too strong for a simple overcall.

    This north hand is somewhere between 2H and 4H overcalls. It is not strong enough for a double and bid hand.
