Some ACOL partnerships would open South 1 NT , due to an ugly rebid problem - what if pard bid 1S, what do I do?
Over the 3D interference North has a 'working' 9 count. It worked this time, when pard conveniently has 4 card support. Not sure where it would have ended up if the heart fit hadn't been stumbled on.
Pass 1C 3D Dbl; Pass 3H Pass 4H; All Pass is a more normal auction.
ReplyDelete3D at unfavourable vulnerable is marginal. 2D is a possible alternative.
Double is a negative double asking opener to bid again. Usually it emphasises the majors.
