North should probably X over which South should take out to 2D.
North's lead is interesting, do u lead low club, high club, or perhaps something else hoping to catch declarer with Qxx and pard switches to clubs when he gets on lead. Further analysis called for.

DDA shows a large impact in favour of leading CA, 0.8 average trick differential between the CA (best) and small club (worst). At IMPs there is almost a 20% beat contract differential between best, CA, and worst, (small club). Note that DDA may have a slightly unreal bias in that the opening lead is retained and a possible "killer" switch to pard's solid suit made, which is unlikely to be found at the table. However the huge differential suggests it is more fundamental than that.

  1. Double of 1NT shows about 15+.

If south does pull to 2D then north should not be too worried about having only two small diamonds. South should only pull with a weak hand and a long suit. There is a chance you would be better in 3C but there is also a much bigger danger that you will be worse off.
