In ACOL a 2 NT rebid by East shows a balanced hand, 15+hcp, and is a GF. Over which West should bolt into a (no hope) slam!
East has only 14 hcp. Nevertheless getting to slam is likely and will fail.
ReplyDeleteUnless you can diagnose there are no diamond honours opposite it should be very hard to stop.
Perhaps west can be pessimistic with a stiff heart and not having heard any diamond support.
The problem on the hand is the horrible duplication in both black suits with 10 points only producing three tricks (twice over). And that is before we notice the bad breaks and offside hQ.
