usually these weak hands (west) with a 5 card suit play best in the suit as there is often no way of accessing the length if played in NT. Here South simply holds up until the 3rd round and declarer is cut off from dummy.
DDA Opening Lead: 2♣ looks like "lead the 4th highest from your longest and strongest". In fact the club lead is the worst. The heart, diamond, or spade lead are all pretty close but the club comes in last ~0.15 av tricks behind the field.
